F12 developer options for deviceControl
They would there to be an f12 option that inspects the device actions, network traffic, etc. This is not possible with devices without setup of the safari and chrome browser

Live Local testing via Proxy Server
Local proxy servers are what some of the cloud vendors are using to allow the cloud devices to gain access to a company’s internal network. There has to be strict control of what gets installed on the device to allow this and also the ability to ensure every devices starts from a clean state. Access through the device to the corp network needs to be traced back to the users authentication. SauceLabs and BrowserStack both have good implementations of this. Here is info on BrowserStack's implementation: https://www.browserstack.com/local-testing/live

Device Bridge Timeout Feature
Having a timeout for Device Bridge so that users don't stay connected indefinitely.
My use case here, is that I gather usage metrics and users have been leaving their device bridge running which keeps a device connected for hours and in some cases days. When gathering usage metrics, this really throws off how much time users have actually been using the solution.
Is there a way to have the timeout, for release the phone? I'm manually releasing it as an admin but any restart of the MAC will re-initialize device bridge and they connect to instantaneously.

Capture incoming WiFi traffic on a given mobile device for debugging
We would want to capture the Wifi traffic of a given mobile device to troubleshoot if there are any issues with the downstream system and also to inspect the http request and response.
Is there any plans of building a feature to inspect and intercept wifi traffic like in fiddler's capability?2 votes -

Have default rendering quality be configurable
Customer wants the universal default rendering for devices to start at 100% instead of 50%. They do not want to have to do it manually. They would like this to be something they can make configurable, where it may be set to 50% by default but you can alter it to be 100% and it will affect all devices and not just the one.

import user
Able to import and synchronize all the user details from one server to another server. Current situation is that if the user is already existing, this feature will skip and not import the user details. If the current user is already existing in the current server, it should have a checkbox to selectively overwrite the existing user details. It should also display the difference between the existing user details and the details that is being imported

Linkable History Item Info
I really like the history page for devices. It's been really helpful when debugging automated tests. However, if there is a failure, I can't link out the failure or copy the text because the error only shows when you hover over the "i". It'd be great to be able to copy the error or see more information.

Support for testing 'Shake' gesture.
The option to emulate a 'Shake' gesture with the mobile devices would be nice. This would be useful to test an app that uses this feature.

Picture Injection
Would be nice to Send an image to the Camera. This would allow testing of the camera function within an app, without the need to actually take a new picture.

Image simulation is now available for manual testing on iOS devices, and in preview form for Android devices.
General development on this is still in progress to better support alternate APIs on both platforms.

Return different builds of an app with CLI
CLI -applist function does not return different builds of an app. This may be an issue if the only unique aspect of an app is the build number.

Appium Eclipse Plugin
It would be great to have an Eclipse Plug-in for the built-in Appium server in deviceConnect. This way we don't have to manage windows and it can also help interact with code and inspect objects.
