  1. Option to delete multiple versions of the same application

Option to delete multiple versions of the same application

In order to delete an Application, we are having an option to select single / all. Either we end up deleting one by one or delete all and upload again.

This is really time consuming as some of the different version we need to still keep it up in Applications. Better to have multiple selection of different versions and delete it.

  2. Live Local testing via Proxy Server

Local proxy servers are what some of the cloud vendors are using to allow the cloud devices to gain access to a company’s internal network. There has to be strict control of what gets installed on the device to allow this and also the ability to ensure every devices starts from a clean state. Access through the device to the corp network needs to be traced back to the users authentication. SauceLabs and BrowserStack both have good implementations of this. Here is info on BrowserStack's implementation: https://www.browserstack.com/local-testing/live

  3. Custom Notches in Webviewer for Notch Testing

We do notch testing and it would seem that the current notch displayed during stream, is the same regardless of what phone you're using. It would be great if we could have some custom notches. The following phones are what we utilize for notch testing.

    Samsung 10
    OnePlus 6t
    Huawei Mate 20
    Pixel 3/3XL

  7. Device Bridge Timeout Feature

Having a timeout for Device Bridge so that users don't stay connected indefinitely.

My use case here, is that I gather usage metrics and users have been leaving their device bridge running which keeps a device connected for hours and in some cases days. When gathering usage metrics, this really throws off how much time users have actually been using the solution.

Is there a way to have the timeout, for release the phone? I'm manually releasing it as an admin but any restart of the MAC will re-initialize device bridge and they connect to instantaneously.

  9. Request to add force close app button

There is no way to force close the app in the deviceControl app and customer would like there to be a button added so that they can force close the app rather than use the home button to leave the app and then close it with the task manager.

  10. Executing Appium commands in MobileLabs

Would be really helpful to run the Appium commands on the MobileLabs portal itself rather than running the code every time. It helps to verify the things quickly.

  11. Import/Use user data from SSO/SAML system.

We would like to be able to point GigaFox to our public endpoint rather than registering users within GigaFox.

Under the current setup for SSO./SAML it requires us to manually add users to GigaFox for their login to work. If possible we would like for these users to be added automatically from our SSO/SAML system.

  13. Having a API endpoint for the Location feature

    Hello,

Currently, when accessing a phone in the Mobile Cabinet, you can set the location of that phone using the "Location" button. It would be great to have an API endpoint that provides the same functionality.

    Use Case:
We test various websites and URL's as well as do some location testing. The current functionality is great and straight forward to use. When running automation, it would be great if we could call a location in code via a endpoint that allows us the same functionality as if we did it within the Gigafox Web Viewer. This way, we can take that…

  14. Add In A Application History Section / Page

Just like the Device History page, it would be really useful to have a History of the Applications, to help debug who is uploading what applications when by what means (i.e API vs WEB) and when do they get marked for deletion.

A use case here, is that recently there are have been a few issues with applications not being deleted and it looks like an artifact was uploaded twice by mobile labs.

  15. Removing Outdated / Expired Profiles / Certificates

Request: The ability to easily remove out dated or expired Provision Profiles / Certificates.

    The use case here:

A certificate was uploaded that was tied to 59 profiles. Around 43 of the 59 profiles are expired and now when I am viewing the iOS Management section of the Web UI, all I see are expired profiles with no way to clean those up.

  16. Revoke Status Access By Role

    Hello,

As an admin on multiple boxes, I'd like the ability to also restrict the ability for users to see specific statuses.

Use case here, I have a lot of upper management that access the box occasionally and them being able to view the "Offline" and "Disabled" statuses, creates some confusion. I only want them to see "Available" and "In Use" and avoid any unnecessary clutter and noise that comes with the other statuses.

  17. [Developer Usability] REST API does not reflect an underlining rule

    STEPS:

Retain the device with User A,
Make a call to launch the application with User B
---> API will return success but never launch the application

The major feedback from this, is that you have a rule: you cannot interact with a phone unless you are the one who has it retained but their API does not reflect that. It will return a success that the message was sent, which is super misleading, instead it should have some error like "cant launch application on device because retained by " __"

    Though it's now known, it's just a "gotcha" and…

  19. Device Recording And Reporting

    Hello,

We are looking for options to have screen recording and test reporting.that is spit out after our automation runs.

Looking at other options in the industry it would seem that this functionality is doable. Kobiton for example has the ability to record straight from the browser. Airtest automation allows you to run your tests and the output is captured into a nice and neat HTML report, all which can be called from the API.

Is this something that's on the road map for either screen recording or on device image capture which can also be called via the API…

  20. Capability to specify the type of screen and orientation for the foldable phones

Foldable phones are planned to be the next advancement in mobile devices (Samsung, Microsoft, apple has applied for patents, Motorola…). The feature is not about screen rotation, the foldable phones have at least 2 screens. Samsung Fold has 3 screens. Right now mobile labs cart have static placement of mobile phones, which means the phones cannot be folded, unfolded. Like you have built screen rotation, there has to be a feature for the tester to specify which screen and orientation is required on the foldable phone.
